The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law has announced that Arnold M. Weiner has won its Distinguished Graduate Award for 2019.
Arnold’s achievements in the law are unparalleled, including having been lead defense attorney in high profile prosecutions of a former governor, a former congressman and a former mayor of Baltimore, as well as any number of private figures. Even the thoroughbred Codex turned to Arnold when his Preakness victory was questioned.
The opinions of Maryland’s Court of Appeals are filled with precedence that Arnold helped establish for his clients, and the walls of his office are covered with salutations from luminaries such Robert F. Kennedy and Judge Simon Sobeloff. His love for the law and the legal practice continues with the many clients Arnold represents to this day.
Alan M. Rifkin, managing partner at RWL, stated, “Arnold is an extraordinary lawyer and an even better person. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of such high honor. On behalf of everyone at the Firm, we congratulate Arnold on this great honor.”
Arnold will honored on April 11, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Westminster Hall on the University of Law School campus.
