MARYLAND GOVERNOR LARRY HOGAN ANNOUNCES STAGE 3 REOPENING EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH AT 5:00 PM
Today, Governor Larry Hogan announced the Stage 3 reopening of all businesses effective this Friday at 5:00 pm. As with prior announcements, local jurisdictions may opt out of these reopenings and continue closures or impose stricter requirements. Similar to Phase 2, special attention should be paid to directives from the local jurisdictions in the Baltimore/Washington Corridor, several of whom did not enact Phase 2 as soon as it was authorized by the Governor. Entities should continue social distancing and take enhanced safety precautions. Businesses that can reopen this Friday at 5:00 pm include:
- Movie theaters and indoor performance theaters can reopen to 50% capacity or 100 persons per auditorium, whichever is less, 50% or 250 persons for outdoor facilities whichever is less
- Retailers can open to 75% capacity
