JR Reith Appointed RWL Chief Operating Officer, Camille Fesche and Brad Rifkin to Co-Chair Government Relations Division
Eric Bryant Appointed Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Kweise Mfume
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Rifkin Weiner Livingston LLC (RWL), a premier legal and government relations firm based in Annapolis, Baltimore and Bethesda, today announced John (JR) Reith has been appointed RWL Chief Operating Officer and Camille Fesche and Brad Rifkin have been named co-chairs of the Firm’s Government Relations Division. This news follows the announcement that long-time RWL partner and respected colleague Eric Bryant has been appointed Chief of Staff to Congressman Kweisi Mfume, after successfully managing his most recent campaign.
John (JR) Reith – who previously co-chaired the Firm’s Government Relations Division along with Eric Bryant – will assume the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer effective July 1, 2020. In addition to his government relations work, JR will be part of and report directly to the Firm’s Executive Management Group. As COO, JR will be responsible for the further development and marketing of the Firm’s operations, including operating policies and procedures, and will take over the Firm’s media, marketing and growth strategies.
“I could not be more pleased for JR and no one could be better suited to lead the Firm’s growth strategies as we head into the next decade,” said Alan M. Rifkin, the Firm’s Managing Partner. “JR has demonstrated a terrific aptitude for business development and has extremely deep connections with elected officials, community leaders, and businesses across the state. We could not be in better hands for success and growth moving forward.”
“We could not be prouder of Eric and all his accomplishments and wish him the best of luck with this new endeavor,” Rifkin continued. “While Eric will be missed, we look forward to our continued work with him now and in the future on the national stage.”
Camille Fesche and Brad Rifkin have been appointed co-chairs of the Firm’s Government Relations Division. In that capacity, they will oversee the Firm’s clients and help manage a team of lobbyists with a combined track record that exceeds 125 years of work interfacing with state and local governments. In addition to Fesche and Rifkin, the RWL Government Relations Division includes experienced lobbyists Joel Rozner, Mike Johansen and Pat Roddy, as well as JR Reith and Matt Bohle.
“Camille and Brad have developed strong relationships with the Firm’s clients and the state’s policymakers and are well-suited to take on the important responsibilities associated with co-chairing the Firm’s Government Relations Division, which is the longest-standing in Annapolis,” said Michael V. Johansen, the Firm’s Administrative Partner. “Camille and Brad have earned our confidence and we have every expectation that they will be enormously successful in their new role.”
