RWL Partner Eric Bryant Successfully Manages Congressional Campaign of Kweisi Mfume

RWL CONGRATULATES ITS PARTNER, ERIC BRYANT, FOR SUCCESSFULLY MANAGING CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGN OF KWEISI MFUME

RWL congratulates its partner and Government Relations Division co-chair Eric Bryant for successfully managing the congressional campaign of former U.S. Representative Kweisi Mfume, who won yesterday’s special election to fill the seat vacated by the death of former U.S. Representative Elijah Cummings.

Since the Democratic primary in February, Eric led the campaign through extraordinarily difficult circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign had to adjust to socially distant outreach and an election that would be conducted almost entirely by mail. Ensuring that voters had the knowledge of how to vote under these circumstances and that our electoral processes remain fair and robust is even more critical than ever in these uncertain times.

In his remarks last evening, Mfume thanked Eric for his work on the campaign, describing him as “not only brilliant but someone who is dedicated to our communities, our state and our nation.”

RWL Managing Partner Alan M. Rifkin added, “Eric has an unwavering commitment to service and community that is only rivaled by his political and legal acumen. I’ve worked with Eric on some of the most vexing issues in Maryland. There is a clear reason so many corporate and political leaders turn to him for his advice and that is because he is a true leader in every respect. We congratulate Congressman Mfume and Eric on this successful campaign.”

Congressman Mfume previously served in the U.S. Congress from 1987 to 1996 and was the President and CEO of the NAACP for eight years. He previously served on the Baltimore City Council and a variety of boards and commissions throughout his distinguished lifetime of public service.

Eric is a Maryland political veteran. He joined RWL in 2003 after serving as a complex civil litigation associate at a major national law firm and deputy at the NAACP. His clients range from publicly traded companies to small businesses that operate across various sectors.
