On March 25, the American Bar Association, Bid Protest Committee and the State & Local Procurement Committee are co-hosting a joint discussion on state and local bid protests.  The 60-minute virtual meeting will go beyond the basics and will take a deeper dive, looking at state protests from multiple viewpoints.  Some of the topics they will be discussing are:

  • Common challenges for attorneys used to addressing Federal bid protests
  • Methods for obtaining a dismissal or summary decision
  • Best practices for attorneys that must help an agency respond to or litigate a bid protest
  • How state/local protest statutes, regulations, or procedures can be drafted or revised to best address common issues or questions
