Firm Hires Senior GOP Strategist

Annapolis, Maryland (December 4, 2014) – Rifkin, Weiner, Livingston, Levitan & Silver, LLC (“RWLLS”), a law firm with offices in Annapolis, Baltimore and Bethesda, Maryland, today announced that John C. “JR” Reith, a senior GOP strategist, has joined the firm. Mr. Reith was Finance Director for all three of former Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.’s gubernatorial campaigns and was co-chairman of his campaign committees. Mr. Reith currently serves on the Inaugural Committee for Governor-elect Larry Hogan and has been active in the National Republican Party since 1996.

Mr. Reith, who most recently was director of business development for Compass Marketing, Inc. and previously held the same position at Brown Advisory in Baltimore, will join the firm’s Government Relations Division and assume the responsibilities of Director of Business Development at RWLLS. As Director of Business Development, Mr. Reith will lead the firm’s business development and marketing efforts and assist the firm’s managing partner, Alan M. Rifkin, who recently was elected chairman of the board of directors of SCG Legal, a global network of over 148 independent law firms in over 82 countries worldwide.

Mr. Reith is a graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He is a Maryland native and resides in Baltimore, Maryland with his three sons. Mr. Reith joins the firm as Director of Business Development as a non-lawyer.
